Heart training program

These therapies can help you live longer, feel better, and stay out of the hospital.

All four classes are used for HFrEF, and some are used for HFpEF. Your care team chooses what fits your heart function, symptoms, kidneys, blood pressure, and goals.

Before your visit

Bring your medication tracker and write down any side effects or questions.

A clear list of your doses, how you feel, and what you are wondering about can make each appointment more productive.

HeartStrong tips for meds

Small habits lead to big results.

Try it

If a new medication or dose makes you feel worse, tell your care team. Adjustments are part of the process.

Give it time

Some side effects get better after a few days or weeks as your body adjusts.

Teamwork

Tell your team what matters to you. Care should fit your life, not fight it.

Targeting strength

Dose increases are often about protecting the heart, even if you already feel okay.

Teach yourself

Use the symptom tracker to notice patterns and learn why each medication matters.
